CHAPMANS PEAK DRIVE
Chapman’s Peak Drive is a 9km toll road and scenic drive on the Atlantic Coast linking the communities of Hout Bay and Noordhoek. The route with its many curves skirts Chapman Peak, the 593m high southerly extension of Constantia Berg, and follows the rocky coastline to unfold breathtaking views in both directions. Apart from providing locals with an alternative and convenient access route between Cape Town and the South Peninsula it offers much more to visitors and tourists. The various viewpoints and picnic spots encourage people to make the most of their trip and the breathtaking scenery encourages photography and sightseeing. In short Chapmans Peak Drive forms the gateway between Cape Town and the South Peninsula.

NOORDHOEK BEACH
This immense soft white sand beach stretches from the foot of Chapman's Peak out towards Kommetjie. The beach is flanked by the crisp and inviting waters of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the protected wetlands of the Table Mountain National Park on the other. The beach is popular with walkers, horse riders and surfers. The well known shipwreck of the Kakapo (early 1900's) is still evident today. A variety of birdlife call this area home whilst Dolphins, Whales and Otters are also common.

NOORDHOEK COMMON

Noordhoek common is an enormous public open space with two streams that run through it. It is used by horse riders for events, families for picnicking, dog walking, pick up games of cricket or football, parties and events like the annual Noordhoek Country Fair. It is the green heart of Noordhoek and an important community space.

NOORDHOEK FARM VILLAGE
Local is “lekker” as they say and the Noordhoek farm village clustered under ancient oak trees is the place to experience some of the local attractions. This charming village complex of shops, galleries, handicraft shops and restaurants is situated at the start of the famous Chapmans peak scenic drive. Spend a couple of hours browsing in the art galleries sharing the inspiration that the many artists who live in the valley have gained from the beauty that surrounds Noordhoek, or shop for truly African clothes and crafts. There is no reason to be worried about the children being bored while you shop or just browse because there is a large playground area equipped with swings, slides and jungle gyms to keep them occupied. A real treat for the whole family!
NOORDHOEK GARDEN EMPORIUM

Home to Noordhoek's largest nursery the Cape Dutch Gardens offers a wide variety of indigenous plants, shrubs and trees. They are well stocked with tools and equipment for the avid gardener and ever willing to share sound advice with those not so green fingered. The Emporium also has a Pole Yard Outlet offering a good selection of fencing options and garden equipment. The Noordhoek Garden Emporium also offers a relaxed and quiet venue for a warm cuppa or a light bite at the friendly Noordhoek Cafe.

Monkey Valley Beach Nature Resort is nestled amongst a Milkwood Forest enjoying prime position between Chapmans Peak and Noordhoek Beach. Found nestled amongst magnificent Milkwood trees along Beach Road and just before Noordhoek Beach. Home to the popular The Red Herring Bar and Restaurant as well as the Coco Bean Cafe. The Trading Post is home to a variety of small thriving businesses including the Chocolate Moose (suppliers of cakes, chocolates and desserts) and Oshun Garden Interiors and Spa.

Located in the central section of the Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) Silvermine offers some of the best hikes in the Park with beautiful fynbos landscapes. There are two sections with formal parking:
Gate One: Turn right off Ou Kaapse Weg coming from Cape Town. This area offers mountain biking tracks and a selection of hikes ranging from easy to challenging. Hikers can walk to the top of the Constantaiburg Mountain for perfect views of Hout Bay or simply stroll around the reservoir's wheelchair friendly boardwalk. There are also picturesque braai/ picnic sites available.
Gate Two: A few hundred metres past Gate One, turn left into the car park. From here you can hike over to Kalk Bay or simply do a circuit route. This section of the Park includes Afromontane Forests, waterfalls and very interesting geology.
